Some time ago Alan Sheats during our e-mail conversation about software architectures recommended me three wonderful books. Here they are:

  1. "Domain-Driven Design: Tackling Complexity in the Heart of Software" by Eric Evans
  2. "Applying Domain-Driven Design and Patterns: With Examples in C# and .NET" by Jimmy Nilsson
  3. "Agile Principles, Patterns, and Practices in C#" by Robert C. Martin

First two of them concern the Domain-Driven Design - an approach in building software which focuses on the problem domain and on its modeling. DDD gains its support from the object-oriented analysis/design principles and helps to create better software faster.

The second book from the programming guru Robert Cecil Martin does not require any advertising. It is a reedition of his bestseller "Agile Software Development, ...". It contains essential guidelines for applying agile principles (Extreme Programming) and object-oriented methods with examples in C#.
